SECTION 1 - COMPLIANCE WITH FIREARMS LAWS

Carter Firearms, LLC operates in full compliance with all local, state, and Federal laws with respect to the sale of firearms. Please read the following information and familiarize yourself with the necessary steps to ensure your purchase is legal.

SECTION 1a - ILLEGAL PRODUCTS

The customer assumes full responsibility for understanding and following gun laws in the city, parish/county, and state in which they reside and possess their items. If a customer orders a product that is deemed illegal in their city, parish/county, or state, the order will be cancelled, and a restocking fee will be charged.

In addition to specific local law, there are certain persons who cannot legally receive or possess a firearm. These include:

1.    Has been convicted in any court of a crime punishable by imprisonment for a term exceeding 1 year; 

2.    Is a fugitive from justice; 

3.    Is an unlawful user of or addicted to any controlled substance; 

4.    Has been adjudicated as a mental defective or has been committed to a mental institution; 

5.    Is an alien illegally or unlawfully in the United States or an alien admitted to the United States under a nonimmigrant visa; 

6.    Has been discharged from the Armed Forces under dishonorable conditions;

7.    Having been a citizen of the United States has renounced his or her citizenship;

8.    Is subject to a court order that restrains the person from harassing, stalking, or threatening an intimate partner or child of such intimate partner; or 

9.    Has been convicted of a misdemeanor crime of domestic violence

10.    Cannot lawfully receive, possess, ship, or transport a firearm. [18 U.S.C. 922(g) and (n), 27 CFR 478.32].

SECTION 1b - SERIALIZED PARTS CHARGEBACK WARNING

The serialized part is the component that is legally considered to be the firearm in question. If a customer performs a credit card chargeback on an order including a serialized part, and remains in possession of the serialized part, this is legally considered theft of a firearm. THE STOLEN ITEM WILL BE REPORTED TO AUTHORITIES AND AN OFFICIAL REPORT WILL BE FILED WITH THE BUREAU OF ALCOHOL, TOBACCO, FIREARMS AND EXPLOSIVES (ATF).

SECTION 1c - SHIPPING REQUIREMENTS AND RESTRICTIONS

Carter Firearms, LLC will only ship firearms (rifles, pistols, receivers, and other serialized parts) to authorized firearms dealers possessing a Federal Firearms License (FFL). We will not ship to individual homes under any circumstances. All licensed dealers purchasing from Carter Firearms, LLC will need to supply a copy of their current FFL. It is the customer's responsibility to provide us with a Transfer Dealer’s FFL. A copy of the FFL can be sent to us by email at carterfirearms@gmail.com. Orders older than thirty (30) business days with no FFL provided will automatically be cancelled with a 10% restocking fee.

SHIPPING RESTRICTIONS

Carter Firearms, LLC will not ship ammunition of any kind.

Carter Firearms, LLC will not ship any handguns to California that are not on the DOJ roster. This includes Single Shot Exemption conversions.

NO firearms sales outside of the continental United States, Alaska, and/or Hawaii.

SECTION 1d - DELIVERY VERIFICATION

An adult signature is required upon receipt of the package.

SECTION 2 - ORDER ACCEPTANCE POLICY

Your receipt of an electronic or other form of order confirmation does not signify our acceptance of your order, nor does it constitute confirmation of our offer to sell. Carter Firearms, LLC reserves the right at any time after receipt of your order to accept or decline your order for any reason or to supply less than the quantity you ordered of any item.

SECTION 3 - CREDIT CARDS

We accept the following credit cards: Visa, MasterCard, and Discover. There is no surcharge for using your credit card to make purchases. Please be sure to provide your exact billing address and telephone number (i.e. the address and phone number your credit card bank has on file for you). Incorrect information will cause a delay in processing your order. Your credit card will be billed upon completion of your order.

SECTION 4 - MONEY ORDERS, CASHIER'S CHECKS, COMPANY CHECKS & PERSONAL CHECKS

We accept money orders, cashier’s checks, personal checks, and company checks in United States currency only. Orders are processed upon receipt of a money order or cashier’s check. For personal and company checks, please allow up to 10 banking days after receipt for clearance of funds before the order is processed. We cannot guarantee the availability of a product by the time funds clear or payment is received. We will charge a $25 fee on all returned checks.

SECTION 5 - ORDER SHIPPING POLICY

Shipping Time 

Most orders received will ship within 1-2 business days, provided the product ordered is in stock. Orders are not processed or shipped on Saturday or Sunday or any major holidays.

We cannot guarantee when an order will arrive. Consider any shipping or transit time offered to you by Carter Firearms, LLC or other parties only as an estimate. We encourage you to order in a timely fashion to avoid delays caused by shipping or product availability.

SECTION 6 - TAXES

Our Store shall automatically charge and withhold the applicable sales tax for orders to be delivered to addresses within the state of LA. For orders shipped to other states, you are solely responsible for all sales taxes or other taxes. EXCEPTION: Orders placed on Gunbroker.com will be charged the appropriated sales tax for your state.

SECTION 7 - TYPOGRAPHICAL ERRORS

In the event a product is listed at an incorrect price due to typographical error or error in pricing information received from our suppliers, Carter Firearms, LLC shall have the right to refuse or cancel any orders placed for product listed at the incorrect price. Carter Firearms, LLC shall have the right to refuse or cancel any such orders whether or not the order has been confirmed and your credit card charged. If your credit card has already been charged for the purchase and your order is canceled, Carter Firearms, LLC shall immediately issue a credit to your credit card account in the amount of the incorrect price.

SECTION 8 - LINKS

This site may contain links to other sites on the Internet that are owned and operated by third parties. You acknowledge that Carter Firearms, LLC is not responsible for the operation of or content located on or through any such site.

These Conditions will supersede any terms and/or conditions you include with any purchase order, regardless of whether Carter Firearms, LLC signs them or not. We reserve the right to make changes to this site and these Conditions at any time.
